Choose Your Beverages Wisely
Research shows that staying properly hydrated may contribute to physical and mental performance. Conversely, dehydration may increase risk for chronic diseases such as bladder cancer. The drinks you choose to stay hydrated really do matter, according to beverage guidelines just published in
American Journal of Clinical Nutrition
. The new recommendations suggest that at least 60%-if not 100%-of your fluids come from calorie-free beverages such as water.
