Apple-CranApple Cider
The recipe listed on this site is very similar to the one I make - every Xmas. (I like the idea of using a coffee filter for the spices vs using a cheesecloth. I will use the filter from now on. See below - 1 cup brown sugar 2 t. whole all spice 2 t. whole cloves 1/3 t. salt 2 - 3 cinnamon sticks 1 gallon apple cider 2 qts. cranapple juice 1 T. frozen orange juice conc’ Add brown sugar, all spice, cloves, salt, and cinnamon sticks to 6 cups of apple cider. Mix in bowl, microwave on high until boiling, stirring occasionally to a full boil. (May need to strain) Then, add remaining apple cider, cranapple juice & orange juice conc’. Stir well. Put mix in a 45-cup coffee pot. Heat thoroughly and serve hot.

Not bad
A pretty good cider. Now I like cider, and thought this would be nice, considering the weather has gotten colder. I wish I had read the recipe completely, and then I would've kept the allspice tied in a coffee filter or something, instead of having it directly in the cider. Next time I will remember to do that and I am sure it will be even better.

This is a really great, easy drink that gives you that warm, fuzzy feeling. The whole allspice can be a little pricy at the market, but well worth the splurge. Fresh apple cider is plentiful now and adding the warmth of cranberries and cinnimon was a welcome treat after a cold, windy day. It can also make your house smell wonderful.
