This was so good, our cooker only took 5-6 hours so I would say to watch it depending on age/heat capacity of yours. We could not find pears but used everything else, fantastic. My husband ate so much I made him make it again Sun night so I could have leftovers to take for lunch at work!

This dish was absolutely awesome. After one bit my husband exclaimed,''this is super''. I used dried plums aka prunes and dried apricots. Also as per someone else's suggestion I added an extra 1/2cup of apple juice. The roast just literally fell apart with flavor and juices. the fruit became mushy with tastes of the pork while still retaining their sweetness. This one is definitely a keeper!!

This roast was delicious. I used dried apples and dried plums (prunes) since I could not find the pears. It was a great way to get my husband to eat fruit. He loved it!
