Herbed Garlic Pepper Rub

teaspoons dried oregano leaves

teaspoon garlic pepper

teaspoon salt
1/2
teaspoon onion powder
1/2
teaspoon chili powder

teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)

pork loin chops, about 1/2 inch thick (about 3/4 to 1 1b)
  • 1 Mix all ingredients. Spread rub evenly on pork chops. Cover and refrigerate 15 minutes.
  • 2 Brush grill rack with oil. Heat coals or gas grill for direct heat. Cover and grill pork chops over medium heat 12 to 15 minutes, turning once, until no longer pink in center.

These turned out GREAT! I did not have the grill available, so I used a lightly sprayed, non-stick pan, Med-Hi, to sear/cook (approx. 15 min.). When they were nearly done, I turned the heat down and covered to finish, while I got the sides ready. The blend of spices was a tasty combination, through and through. I can't hardly wait to try these on the grill.
