Expert Tips

Vegetables like broccoli offer a host of nutrients including vitamins A, C and folate. Be sure to get at least 3 to 5 servings of veggies daily.

No Italian seasoning? Dried basil makes a good stand-in.

Next time, vary the taste by using leftover turkey or pork instead of chicken.

This stew was amazing, it filled the whole house with the most wonderful smell. I doubled the recipe, and let it cook for about two hours. I also made garlic bread, to dip in the stew. The only thing I will change for next time is I will add more spices to teh dumplings. They were a litle bland.

While the stew was tasty, the dumplings not so much. It also took much longer to cook than the 20 minutes suggested. I will try again with fresh steamed vegetables and will add additional spices to the rather bland dumplings.
