cup shredded reduced-fat cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 1 In a medium saucepan, combine water, undrained tomatoes, beans, black-eyed peas, onion, tomato paste, chili powder, and cumin. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, covered, for 10 minutes. Ladle chili into bowls. If desired, sprinkle each serving with cheese.

I tried this chili last week and both my husband and I enjoyed it tremendously. I will definitely make it again. I don't know why some of the other reviewers didn't understand the recipe or the ingredients since it all was very simple. Delicious
