  • SERVINGS

    4

1
lb uncooked chicken breast strips for stir-fry
2
large firm ripe pears, sliced
1
large cooking apple, sliced
1/2
cup malt vinegar
2
tablespoons chopped fresh or 1 teaspoon dried sage leaves
1/2
teaspoon salt
  • 1 Heat gas or charcoal grill. Cut 4 (18x12-inch) sheets of heavy-duty foil. Place one-fourth of the chicken, pears and apple on center of each sheet. Drizzle each with vinegar; sprinkle with sage and salt.
  • 2 Bring up 2 sides of foil so edges meet. Seal edges, making tight 1/2-inch fold; fold again, allowing space for heat circulation and expansion. Fold other sides to seal.
  • 3 Place packets on grill over medium heat. Cover grill; cook 10 to 15 minutes, rotating packets 1/2 turn after 5 minutes, or until chicken is no longer pink in center.
  • 4 Place foil packets on plates. Cut large X across top of each packet; carefully fold back foil.
