Healthified Peach Cobbler

Healthified Peach Cobbler
Recipe Tip
What is "Healthified"?
We've replaced ingredients with great-tasting alternatives to create better-for-you recipes that are just as yummy as the original.
Substitution
If fresh peaches are available, use 4 cups sliced peeled peaches instead of the canned peaches. Or, you can use a 16-oz bag of frozen sliced peaches, thawed.
Did You Know?
The lemon juice used in this recipe adds a little sparkle that perks up the peach flavor.

Peach Cobbler
Being from the South Peach Cobbler is a BIG thing for my family and this version although not quite like how grandma used to make it still has won my family over!

WOW! When I made this cobbler I used frozen peaches unsweeten and Splenda because I am a diabetic and you could not tell at all. It was almost as good as my mama use to make. It is very easy (mixing in the same pan you are going to bake in!) using Bixquick. The hardest part is waiting for it to cook and cool so you can eat it!

Am I the only one who got a mix runnier than pancakes with 1:1 mix and milk? There is no way you can mix 1 cup of Bisquick and 1 cup of milk and get it to turn out on top of the peaches and as fluffy as that photo. It was a gooey mess. I used regular Bisquick; is there a difference in the consistency of the Heart Smart variety?

Yummy Dessert!
I was recently invited to a BBQ by our neighbors and offered to bring dessert. I made this recipe and got raves from all the people there! I plan to add this recipe to my healthy dessert collection and make it often.

Summer Delite!
Using fresh peaches? Try grilling peach halves before slicing them. Gives an extra flavor to this dessert! YUMMO!

The cobbler was very good. I only had one can 15oz of peaches on hand but was still delicious. I think I will try using other fruits as well.

Delicious
This was made using canned peaches. The crust was delicious and the individual servings looked just like the photo. It was served with no sugar added ice cream for a delicious fruit dessert. I look forward to giving it a try with fresh peaches.

This was a great easy recipe, I had to warm it up in the microwave when we were ready to eat it, and it was so good with the ice cream I topped it with.

@MW4: Did you drain the peaches? I poured the batter on top of the peach and sugar mixture and it turned out great. I did have to bake mine 10 minutes longer than the recipe called for.

This was delicious. I made a double batch for a dinner party. I substituted 1/2 the peach with mango. When the crust started to get brown, I sprinkled 2 T of sugar on top for a little crunch. Served it with lite whipped cream and it was a big hit!

We liked it as well as the regular recipie. I used fresh peaches and threw in some blueberries too. The Bisquick mixture seemed very thin, but it baked up very nicely.
