Wow
This is one of the best recipes I have tried from this website. Total comfort food and very satisfying. Next time, I will use a little less pepper because it was a bit overwhelming.

i really liked this recipe but i agree that it needed other seasonings and i know salt isnt extremely healthy but it really needed it! i used ground turkey breast because i accidently put my chicken breasts in the freezer and it turned out really well. i also added fresh minced garlic to the dumplings because i ran out of green onion. yummy!

Yum
Comfort food worthy. I doubled the recipe and had it for 4 people.

Delicious
This turned out great! I used chicken broth instead of vegetable broth. I was worried about it being dry warmed up, but it still tasted great. I did end up adding a little extra chicken broth to warm it up too.

A keeper
I used organic veggie broth and made some substitutions as far as seasonings go and it was worth it! Tasted great! Will make this one again!

Savory Chicken Stew and Dumplings
This was very good! It was kind of like having chicken pot pie, but without all the fat and calories. I used store brand frozen veggies instead of the Steamers. It didn't make sense to me to use the more expensive brand when I was going to take them out of the bag to cook them anyway.

awesome
Easy to make and really good! Didn't have all the leaves they asked for, but substitutions worked fine.

Tasty!!
My husband loves chicken and dumplings and we both thoroughly enjoyed this recipe! I actually used a different dumpling recipe since I didn't have any biscuit mix and it still tasted great! I also used fresh veggies instead of frozen. Definitely recommend this recipe!

Good if you like comfort food
I had mixed feelings about this, because for me I don't personally care for standard American comfort food, but my boyfriend was really craving chicken and dumplings. That said, I read what the other reviewer said, and was afraid it would be bland--so I bumped it up a bit. I added Italian seasoning, thyme, black pepper, kosher salt, a bay leaf, and I used fresh veggies instead of frozen (which did ad to the time). I enjoyed it well enough, considering it isn't really "my thing", and he really liked it. We both agreed the dumplings were excellent (I added a little seasoning to them as well). You must enjoy this type of food to really enjoy the dish, but it is warm and filling and very nice on a snowy night.

Great!
This turned out great and was perfect for two! I used chicken broth since I didn't have the vege broth, and I added some celery. I will definitely make it again.

Better than pot pie!
This was a great healthy alternative to the chicken and biscuits I grew up with. I used an Italian-flavored rotisserie chicken from the store for a bit more flavor. It was ooey, gooey, and delicious.

bland
I gave it a "2" because it was filling. That was the only good thing about this recipe. It was bland, it needed more flavor...much more flavor. It's the only new recipe (out of 20+) that my family wouldn't eat.
