Cheerios® Berry-Banana Smoothie

A Cheerios® Challenge recipe! Fiber up with a smoothie? Fresh fruit blended with nutrient-rich cereal and flaxseed offers a good source of fiber in a tasty gulp. From eatbetteramerica.

makes:2 servings (about 1 cup each)

1cup Yoplait® 99% Fat Free creamy vanilla or creamy strawberry yogurt, or Yoplait® Fat Free plain yogurt (from 2-lb container)
1/2cup Cheerios® cereal
2tablespoons ground flaxseed or flaxseed meal
1/2cup fresh strawberry halves or raspberries, or frozen whole strawberries
1/2cup fat-free (skim) milk
1/2banana, sliced
1.In blender, place ingredients. Cover; blend on high speed about 30 seconds until smooth, stopping blender once to scrape sides.
2.Pour mixture into 2 glasses. Serve immediately.

it was pretty good
with few minor substitutions, omit the flax seed, sub soy yogurt and milk for regular dairy, and raspberries for strawberries, this was a great snack for me. my 1.5yr old had this for dinner and got really well filled up. found this looking for a good way to use brown bananas and loved it! thanks!
