Turkey and Green Chile Stuffing Casserole

Turkey and Green Chile Stuffing Casserole
Recipe Tip
Iron is Important
Turkey and other protein is a source of iron. Iron helps build red blood cells to carry oxygen through the body.
Substitution
An 11-oz can of Green Giant® Niblets® whole kernel corn can be used instead of the frozen corn. It's OK that the amount is a little over the 1 cup.
Success
Covering the dish while cooking helps thoroughly cook the turkey and keep it moist. Uncovering for the last 10 minutes will lightly brown and dry the top so it's more attractive.

Not worth trying
We made this and were extremely disappointed. We followed the recipe exactly with one exception. We swapped out canned green chili for the equivalent volume of locally roasted fresh hatch chiles. The whole thing was bland, needed salt, and the stuffing was a mushy, textureless mess. If you ask me, there are much better ways to enjoy a turkey breast than this.

Made with Pork Chops
I loved the corn in the stuffing. I sauteed some pork chops (just a minute on each side) and then threw in the over for 15 minutes. Saved lots of time :)

Delicious
This is a wonderful, simple, delicious meal. My whole family loved it, and it is now on the rotation.
