1
cup Fiber One® original bran cereal
3/4
cup shredded carrots (about 1 large)
1/2
cup Yoplait® Fat Free plain yogurt
2
tablespoons mild curry paste
2
tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
1
package (20 oz) lean (at least 93%) ground turkey
1/3
cup reduced-fat mayonnaise
1/3
cup coarsely chopped chutney
6
lettuce leaves
6
whole wheat burger buns, split
  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Spray broiler pan rack with cooking spray. Place cereal in resealable food-storage plastic bag; seal bag and finely crush with rolling pin or meat mallet (or finely crush in food processor).
  • 2 In large bowl, mix cereal, carrots, yogurt, curry paste and cilantro. Add turkey; mix thoroughly.
  • 3 Shape mixture into 6 patties, about 1/2 inch thick. Place on rack in broiler pan. Bake 18 to 22 minutes or until meat thermometer inserted in center of patties reads 160°F.
  • 4 Meanwhile, in small bowl, mix mayonnaise and chutney. To serve, place lettuce leaf on bottom half of each bun. Top with burger, about 2 tablespoons chutney mixture and top half of bun.

Expert Tips

Instead of using a burger bun, serve in a whole wheat pita pocket.

Like it spicy? Substitute spicy curry paste for the mild.

These burgers were very good, but they nutrient information is incorrect. There are more than 120 calories in the buns and much more than 3 grams of protein. Still healthy, but not as low cal as they claim.
