I LOVE THESE. Living in a college dorm last year--I only really had a microwave to use, so I always had caramel EVERYWHERE, but they are so good. I make them for pretty much every "pot-luck" I have to go to and they are always gone by the end. The problem is they are addicting--me and my college roommate could literally eat a pan in a night--horrible but delicious. Oh, and instead of regular cheerios use multi-grain ones, they are better (and better for you!), and you need more M&Ms than it calls for. I also used butter instead of shortening and they turn out the same. YOUR KIDS WILL LOVE THEM :)
