Smoked Spanish paprika is a special Spanish paprika that has a distinct, smoky flavor from smoked peppers. Look for it in the spice aisle of the supermarket or ethnic markets.
If smoked Spanish paprika is unavailable, substitute any variety of paprika, such as sweet and mild or even hot. Either will provide the aromatic flavor from the peppers without the smokiness.

Enjoy this savory grilled chicken flavored with smoked Spanish paprika and served with barbecue sauce - perfect for dinner that's ready in 20 minutes. From eatbetteramerica.

makes:4 servings
1tablespoon packed brown sugar
2teaspoons smoked Spanish paprika
1/2teaspoon ground cumin
1/4teaspoon garlic salt
1/4teaspoon ancho chili powder
4boneless skinless chicken breasts
1/2cup barbecue sauce, warmed
1.Heat gas or charcoal grill. In small bowl, mix brown sugar, paprika, cumin, garlic salt and chili powder. Rub both sides of chicken with seasoning mixture.
2.Place chicken on grill over medium heat. Cover grill; cook 8 to 10 minutes, turning once, until juice of chicken is clear when center of thickest part is cut (170°F).
3.Serve chicken with barbecue sauce.

WONDERFUL
This recipe is wonderful. And the warm barbeque sauce really tops it off. I have made this 2 times already (since last month) and am making it again tonight!

So Good!
This chicken is great! My wife made it for me a couple of days ago and we loved it! In fact, I am about to go make it again for lunch today haha. We liked the seasoning so much that we made a big batch of it and plan on using it for other food items (steak, fish, etc)

this rub really flavored up the chicken. be careful what kind of "purchased" bbq sauce you choose though, as it can send the calorie/sugar count way up!
