Since my husband is an OTR truckdriver, I find it hard to be inspired to cook for myself decently.  I tend to snack on foods that are not necessarily the best for me.

I spend time cooking food that can be re-heated.  We never really get to eat together.  It is just my husband and myself.  We work nights so, sometimes we get to eat breakfast together.  Our together breakfasts usually consist of sitting in bed eating what ever he has made to eat (he gets home first).  This only happens if he is hungry and not exhausted.  So, I guess my answer is "neither".

I am trying to feed a family of five (with only one trying to lose weight and a husband who is trying to gain weight).  It is hard to make healthy meals regularly with my class schedule at times, but I have been making it a real effort.  I recently became a vegaterian, but the rest of my family still eats meat (that can be tricky!  But so far it seems to be working)!  This has helped increase the amount of fresh fruits and veggies everyone eats, and has drastically reduced the amount of fast food we eat!

I cook for a family of 5.  Up until a year ago I always looked at cooking as a "chore."  Since going on a health plan a year ago, and then slowly having the kids join us, I have fallen in love with cooking.  For me, it is a way of relaxing and feeling good about what I am preparing for my family.  We try to prepare almost everything we eat.  My husband cooks a hot breakfast every morning for the 5 of us before we all head out, and I generally prepare the dinners.  I do like making special dinners on special occasions i.e. birthdays, holidays, etc.  We have met our weight loss goals and are now working really hard to maintain that weight while eating normally.  The kids LOVE our health plan and are pretty well aware of what is healthy and what is not.

My husband is retired and I still work so he does most of the cooking. I do pretty good all day eating small portions and mostly the right stuff and then when I get home his dinners sabotage me. I dont know how to get him to help in my weight loss.

It's hard to get motivated to cook just for me.  I tend to nibble more than actually prepare a meal, but I'm trying!!  One thing I really get irked about on many websites, and cookbooks, the nutrition information is given, but not a serving size, or the number of servings.  I'd also like to see storage information so I know whether I can make a recipe and be able to store the left overs.  Some things don't keep well.
