Although the calories are a high (130 per 1/4 cup), I often opt for a handful of my favourite raisins (golden variety). If you eat the raisins one at a time, it takes a while to get through your "handful" (remember to measure what a handful is for you -- keep it to a 1/4 cup or less) and you are included some fruit and fiber in your diet. While not as filling as fresh fruit, the concentrated taste of the dried raisins packs more punch for me. Other varieties are often packaged without any additives, and organically produced raisins are available.

My go to snack is a Tootsie Roll Pop. It sound really bad but when I am "needing" a sweet snack it knocks it out fast and it dosn't have that meny cal.

My new thing is to have a Fiber One bar handy in my desk drawer.  It not only is low in calories, but also VERY high in fiber! One bar can have about 9 grams of fiber.  That helps keep me going, and it comes in a variety of flavors; chocolate chip, peanut butter, and carmel.  They are all very good, but my favorite is the chocolate chip...helps with my chocolate cravings.  It gives me just enough of a taste to stop me from wanting a big ol' candy bar!

Have you ever tried Pria bars. The are really good and come in 2 flavors. They only have 110 calories a bar. They can also be a good choice to cut the munchies.

I created mixes in advance and carry them with me.  They include 15 almonds, 1 tbsp. mini choc chips, and 2 tbsp. raisins.  The total is 279 calories and it will hold off the munchies and is better than the bars because the fat is at a minimum.Wink Granny42

TRY CLIFF BARS.  THEY ARE A LITTLE HIGHER CALORIE, BUT I OFTEN ONLY EAT HALF OF A BAR AND THEY ARE LOADED WITH WHOLE GRAINS AND LOW GLYCEMIC SUGARS.  NOTHING ARTIFICIAL IN THESE BARS.  ROUGHLY 250 CALORIES/BAR.  ONE BAR WILL MAKE A WHOLE MEAL IF YOU ARE ON THE GO.
