I am a teacher and also a graduate student.

My husband also is in school. I feel like we have no time to cook healthy food (but we're going to try to begin this week) much less exercise for 30 minutes a day. I feel like I hit the ground running each morning.

Any suggestions about ways to cut time so we can exercise?

We joined a local 24-hour gym, so we can go any time. I don't like exercising in front of people though...

I know, I'm being a pessimist, but just want some encouragement I guess.

    Any suggestions will help!

I'm 23 and am about 20 pounds overweight for my height. I've tried dieting, but am going to have to add exercise to get results.

    Thanks!

to make things quick and easy for meals... on my weekends i cook a large pot of rice or barley and a pot of beans. keep fresh or frozen veggies on hand. and for lunchs i just toss a cup of cooked grain a 1/2 cup of bean and slice of cheese or 1/4 cup meat. and about a cup of veggies. season with salt and pepper. healthy, cheap and yummy.

for work outs. the gym is awesome. but time consuming. traveling to and from. etc.

    do go....

but to fit in more, more often. do mini workouts at home. do jumping jacks, sit ups, push ups. tricep dips. lunges. it will build muscle, raise your heart rate. and you can do it anytime. while you heat up coffee, during tv commercials. anytime you have a minute to wait for something. even just march in place while cooking, or watching tv. or even while just talking to your hubby.
