Look at mediterranean cooking (which is very different from US-Italian concept: NO cheese on top, lot's of seafood, lot's of veggies (boiled/steamed instead of fried and stirred). Use fresh herbs to replae some of the salt, NO sugar/syrup/honey nor vream/butter on main means sauces/gravy.
It is still soo tasty and nice, you just have to learn cooking: how to taste teh real flavour of each food rather than hiding it with butter or sugar.
Adults should eat according to to their physical activity: somewhere 1********* Cal/day. Some more and some less, and sugar and fat should be the least of tgheir concerns. Do not make people addicted to sugar. Complexe carbohydrates (flour, fibers, etc) instead of plain sugar. Lot's of water rather than soda.
This is the kindof recipes I am looking for: healthy!
