I was once 220lbs and 5' nothing ..I lost 100 lbs and kept it off for 5 years but now I'm back up to 180 .. I don't have kids (but I can only sympathize with you, lol) but I have determination. If you really want to lose the weight keep a log book of goals and work to keep them!! I have my first goal of 5 lbs for the month of February. Weigh yourself at the beginning of the month (ugh! I know..it's awful at first) and then create a regime that you will stick with (walk 20 minutes a day, bike ride with teens, play soccer, swim, jog, play table tennis..anything that will get your heart rate up). And don't get discouraged! If you see the scale tipping slightly to the right instead of the left don't worry!! You are probably gaining healthy muscle and losing unhealthy fat.
