It's important to "Eat to live, not live to eat." I watched the History Channel on the topic of Gluttony a couple of weeks ago. For those who are religious, such as myself, it really hit home. I think differently about what and how much I eat now. If you want to read more on it, please read Proverbs 23:2 and 23:20-21. I don't pick up whatever I want anymore. I try to go for organic fruits and vegetables, and spices that were put here on this earth intended for us to eat. My family and I have not consumed fast food in a year so we don't remember what it tastes like. Pastries are not allowed either. If you can avoid those types of foods, then after a week or so your body won't crave it and you will not be easily tempted.

Hope this helps. This was a last resort for me to quit giving in to non-healthy foods.

    All the best to everyone!

Hi Gina, I'm a new member  actually just started today.  I think your message about gluttony really hit home with me.  I've got about 25 to lose and can't seem to get it done.  I'm only 24 years old and need to get my bottom in shape!  So after reading about what you said really made me think.  This body isn't mine.  It is God's body and I myself am ruining it.  How selfish i feel now that i look at it in that perspective.  There is no reason or excuse now for the way that I eat.  Hope to hear from you soon and thanks again!

    Be Blessed,

    Whit

well hi, my name is Brian and i to consider myself a religous person. and cluttony as discribed in the new testiment doesnt refference about eating surtain foods. But rather in moderation, not indulging in food. Its all about not making food your God.
