Will power, energy, and motivational friend needed

So it's been a few YEARS since i've tried kicking these 30 extra pounds. I've set new goals for myself, tried the workout plans and sometimes I just can't stick to them. Lets face it food is very appealing, otherwise the world wouldn't have problems shedding the unnessary from our splurge times. I'm looking for a healthier, more fit, more energetic me and I need some back-up. I'm looking for a buddy to stick with on the regular to be there for me as I will for them in their journey to bettering themselves as well. I'm looking forward to hearing from anyone. :) I'm real excited to start off this new year with a kick.

    Hello Krystyna,

I too am attempting to lose between 15-20 pounds and I started on the 5th of Jan. at 155 lbs. and I have lost 2 lbs. so far. I am counting the calories and going to the gym or just walking around my neighborhood at least 3-4 times, but it's so hard! I am in love with Starbucks so kicking that habit has been a pain. I've gone from drinking a fancy coffee every morning to a regular coffee, of course it doesn't taste as good but whatever. Anyway I would really like to have someone to inspire and vice versa and of course complain when needed. Take care

    Hi Krystna,

I am back to try and lose the 40# that I lost and regained again.  I know that I can do it, I tell myself, since I have done it before.  My big obstacle right now is the weather.  It has been below zero here and can't get out and move.  The only exercise I get is at work.  Don't get me wrong, I am on the go the whole night.  I started the new "diet" on Jan 5.  So far I have lost 7.4# and am tracking every ounce of food that goes in my mouth.  I record it on Fitday.com. It is a free site, and it will calculate your calories, nutrition, etc.  I really think that it helps me not want to eat, when I see how many calories, etc.  I also, have a notebook on my refrigerator that I write everything down on.  It seems to keep me honest.   I just thought that I would give you some of my ideas.  They have worked for me in the past.  Best of luck and remember to take it one day at a time.

Hi I am in the same boat.  I just joined today.  My problem is too much salt intake and processed foods.  20 pounds is what I want to lose and I just can't seem to break my bad eating habits.  Motivational friend needed as well.

Hi, my name is Kelli and I just found out a couple weeks ago that I have Type 2 Diabetes, and I know I wouldn't be even dealing with that or my high blood pressure if I could lose at least 40 pounds. Motivation seems to be my problem. I saw a nutritionist a week ago and have 2 more appointments to learn to eat right, which I know is the first step. I have tired every single diet out there and I lose but gain it all right back.  So now I just need the motivation to start exercising! I work from 8am until 4:30pm as an accountant and I am just so tired after work all I want to do is go home and relax.  So, this site seems to be a good place to start!!  Is anyone still on here?? Would love to hear if it has helped anyone?? Help!!!!  :-)

I know its hard to do. I hope this helps. When I was working for the temporary agency they had me stationed at a scool board file room. They ladies down there had set up a weight watchers mettings at work. they also set up their own little walking groups. to help each other. get some exercise during their 15minute break periods. Me I stareded out 233 lbs. I walk with my dogs almost seven miles in the evening and still still stuck at that weight .I t makes me very frustrated to be stalled out like this to. I am going to add in some yoga postureS nowto see if that breaks my stalemate oon the weight. By the way  HAS ANY ONE GOT ANY SUGGESTIONS ABOUT THE LATE NIGHT BINGES. MY WORST TIME OF THE DAY
