Eating slowly prevents overeating and obesity with all its consequences: Diabetes, hypertension, risks of heart attack and stroke (I am a stroke survivor) etc. ; Google: "Eating slowly" to learn how and why it works (I mean Why eating slowly is good to prevent overeating and obesity).

Many thousands of people are researching the internet daily for ways to lose weight; they look for: "How to lose weight fast" ; I have been monitoring a few  wikiHows.

Practically every article written about losing weight (Weightloss) makes a mention of eating slowly as a way to avoid overeating because of the simple fact that our brain needs about 20 minutes to get the signal that we are satisfied; if we eat too fast we can get bloated (Full) but still hungry. Our body needs time for the digestive and hormonal processes to take place and to send a signal to a "sensor" that we have in the brain (In the hypothalamus) that signal tells our brain that we are satisfied, no longer hungry.

There are now "Plates for eating slowly" that stay hot for more than 30 minutes to keep food warm, Google: "Plates for eating slowly or "Heat Retentive Plates".

    I invented them
