    Hi,


    I'm looking for a buddy or a few buddies to offer support in losing
    weight
    . I am in the 35-40lbs. range to lose. So far I have been able to
    maintain a 10-15lb loss over the last few years (I do easily fluctuate 5lbs
    though); My goal is to lose the weight over a 6-8 month period and than just
    maintain it, so by next summer I will be in better shape to do the things I
    love. I would like to try to keep in touch at least 1x/week via email for
    healthy recipe swapping (food is a big part of my life), exercise updates,
    tips and any help/support I can offer or need myself for the weight loss.
    I've been holding onto this weight for almost 10 years and IT NEEDS TO GO.
    My confidence level has gone down so much over the years and I'm not the
    same person I used to be because of it. I do have a husband at home that is
    very healthy conscience, but he is naturally skinny (along with the rest my
    in-laws, go figure) and it's just not working with his help (sometimes loved
    one's mean well, but...........it's just not working for me).

    My biggest issue is food. I live and breath it. When I go on vacation, my
    first thought is all the different food I'm gonna try, LOL. To enjoy cooking
    is an understatement for me. My feel happy room is the kitchen and my
    favorite activity under eating is cooking the food I'm eating. For eating
    healthy, I'm pretty much already there with most of it. If I have a recipe
    that's not healthy I'm confidant enough to swap some things out and try it
    out.  My husband turned into a health/exercise nut a few years ago, so I
    have already made some adjustments for swapping out items in recipes; still
    working on getting rid of sugar and replacing with stevia or other natural
    ways(maple syrup/honey in small amounts). I just have a VERY hard time by
    eating too much. I can easily go back for seconds if not thirds. Plus, I'm
    the type that I can't just have a few handfuls....I end up eating the whole
    bag of popcorn/chips/ect.

    Then for exercising. I don't need to go to a gym. I have all the equipment
    at my house, I JUST NEED THE MOTIVATION TO START. I don't mind cardio too
    much; started walking to work 2-3 days out of the week, almost 3 miles each
    time a few weeks ago and I love our Elliptical, but I LOATHE any form of
    strength training and that's exactly what I would like to start adding back
    in.

    So this is what I need help/support with. If there is anybody else there
    that has similar needs please LMK and we maybe can help each other out.

    My name is Casey and I live in St. Louis,Mo I am looking for a motivational buddy,i may not be close to you but any way i can help please let me know and vice versa. I am trying to lose at least 50 lbs. I would really like to lose 80. I was wondering how things have gone with you and your weight loss goals? I never can seem to come home and be excited about jumping on that wii of mine or popping in the workout video w/ Jillian. I thought I had a workout buddy, but one day she said she had an allergic reaction t her weight loss routine?? I didn't know of such a thing, If your still interested in a buddy system I need one more than ever! I gained 20+ ponds over this last yr probably stress allot has happened and things. I would like for this to progress into a thing where i can call you or you call me and We sorta walk together at the gym or I work out on my my wii I just like that kinda motivation and my word is my bond so make me agree to do i and I will. Looking forward to hearing back from YA!

    I just joined the forum and read your post.  I think we may have been related in another life!  I love to cook and need to lose some pounds too.  And motivation is my biggest hurdle to jump.  And we are Disney Nuts, too!  Have you found a buddy yet?  I'd love to swap emails, stories, problems, recipes, tips, etc with you.  Let me know.

    Hi Casey and Lisa. Yes I still need a health buddy. If you both want to exchange emails LMK so we can keep in touch.


    For today my goal is to pop my YBB disc in at 10:30 and finish the whole thing. I usually make it until the core section. My abs are so weak it's embaressing to work them, LOL.


    Today is also pizza day for our dinner. I buy WW dough and make my own sauce with tomato paste, olive oil & herbs. LF cheese and sauted veggies.


    Gotta come up with a healthy crockpot recipe for tomorrow also, must hit my many cookbooks. I do the crockpot on Monday, but am gonna try to commit to Friday also. I work 10hr shifts on Friday, Saturday & Sunday and I need something easy to put together before I leave for my hubby and daughter to come home too and give me food for the weekends.


     


    OT, Lisa high 5 for Disney. Our next trip is for Spring 2011. A nice extended deluxe trip, that I will NOT be watching what I eat, LOL.
