I joined this site 3 months ago, but don't have a buddy yet. I've been gradually losing weight since my son was born (8 months ago) and still have 15 lbs left til my goal weight. It might not seem like much, but I'm only 5'3. I've had to be extra careful about eating right because I'm breastfeeding and need to have enough vitamins for both of us.
I've only recently found time to catch up on my reading, but then came another problem: I'm a snackaholic with a book! I keep my house stocked up with healthy snacks, but I went through an apple, 8 carrot sticks, 1/2 cup raisins, and a whole bag of low fat popcorn before lunch time and was still hungry! I'm going to start trying sugarless gum to see if it's just an urge to chew.
I know what you mean about being the only one who cares. My husbands has a few more pounds to lose than me but doesn't have any motivation to work out or change his diet. He eats lunch at school or work most days and some times dinner as well, and doesn't try healthier options even though I've completely re-done what we keep in the fridge and cupboards.
