Bacon flavor bits give you a big punch of smoky flavor without all the fat of traditional bacon. From eat betteramerica.

makes:9 servings
1tablespoon olive, canola or soybean oil
1cup uncooked wild rice
1 1/2cups sliced fresh mushrooms (4 oz)
4medium green onions, thinly sliced (1/4 cup)
2 1/2cups water
1/2teaspoon salt
1/4teaspoon pepper
1/4cup bacon flavor bits or chips
1.In 10-inch nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add wild rice, mushrooms and onions; cook about 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until onions are tender.
2.Stir in water, salt and pepper. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally; reduce heat.
3.Cover; simmer 40 to 50 minutes or until rice is tender; drain if necessary. Stir in bacon bits.

BACONY WILD RICE
THIS WAS GOOD. I USED TURKEY BACON INSTEAD OF THE REAL OINKER! WAS REALLY GOOD. I ADDED A PINCH OF CHEYENNE PEPPER TO MINE TO KICK IT UP A BIT!
