I made these for the first time last weekend and I loved them!! They are tasty and the topping is awesome. I froze the leftovers and ate them later in the week. Makes a great quick breakfast for those with little time in the mornings.

Oatmeal pancakes
I made these pancakes this morning, expecting the worst, since my stringent diet permits me only one grain serving per day, and I didn't want to waste it. I didn't have the berries, so I topped them with 1/2 a banana sliced, and sugar free maple syrup. I substituted Splenda for the sugar in the recipe and they were GREAT!!!! They were very filling, and I think it could be a great Sunday morning treat. I plan to use the idea I read in another review to freeze the extras for another time, but with my husband and family visiting, there were no extras today! Yum!

these were so good! i substituted egg beaters for the egg and applesauce for the oil, and they came out perfect! finally a deliciously HEALTHY pancake recipe. you could definately play around with different fruits for the toppings. excellent!

Great Family Breakfast
My family loves this recipe, we make it every weekend. I have altered the recipe since making it originally (which the original recipe is very good as well, I just wanted to make it even better for my family). I substitute unsweetened applesauce for the oil, do not include the egg or sugar, substituting nothing for these two items, add a dash of cinnamon, and either one mashed ripe banana or two diced apples or some times both if they are on hand. These are great warm or cold. Yes the batter will be very lump, especially if using the apple, but they form into a great pancake while cooking and end up with a nice sweet taste from the natural sugars in the banana/diced apple and applesauce. We also love the blueberry syrup, which I make with REAL maple syrup.

Oatmeal Pancakes
This recipe was delicious. I have tried several whole wheat recipes for waffles and pancakes - in fact, that is what I was looking for when I came across this one! I was curious about how the texture would come out. It is, well, grainy, but I like that! My kids gobbled them up!! I modified the syrup a little to suit what I had. Just used some low cal syrup and added fresh raspberries and blueberries. Perfect Saturday morning breakfast!!

Oatmeal Pancakes
The recipe is very good as is, portioned out perfectly, cooked evenly. Try using peaches and honey as the syrup. Great quick breakfast!

Portion Control Alert!
These pancakes were wonderful, but I really had to work to portion out the batter for 12 pancakes as well as restrain myself to just 2 :)

yummy!
My kids devoured these pancakes, although no one wanted the strawberry syrup but me. The pancakes were very filling, and I made it through the morning having eaten only two, although the recipe only makes 6 medium-sized pancakes. Since we have a family of 5, I had to double to recipe.

Very hearty and delicious!
These pancakes are a great alternate to traditional cakes. As a college track athlete getting high quality carbs is a big concern of mine and these deliver the perfect combo! I substituted the oil for applesauce and added a bit of cinnamon to taste. They are best served with jam or lingonberry instead of syrup. Teammates loved them too!

oatmeal pancakes
My attempt did not turn out very well. I used the 1 cup of milk but this did not seem to be enough. The pancake batter was thick and browned ok but the inside did not get done unless I were to let them burn. If I were to do it over, I would stir the flour mixture well before adding the wet ingredients but even then pancake batter should not overmixed and I don't see a way around this with these ingredients.

Oatmeal Pancakes
These are the best oatmeal pancakes I've ever made. I like the "staying power" of the whole grain. I don't eat traditional pancakes because I have a sugar crash about an hour after I eat them, so these will be a nice addition to my recipe file!

Oatmeal Pancakes
These pancakes were really good. I made a few modifications. I didn't have any eggs on hand, so I used some egg beaters. I replaced the oil with unsweetened applesauce to make them a little healthier, and I added about a teaspoon of cinnamon for flavor. I also did not use the sauce. Instead, I drizzled a little bit of honey over the top of them, and they tasted great. Plus, they were basically fat free with my modifications :).

good pancakes, yummy syrup
the pancakes were good and made with ingredients i always have on hand. When I make pancakes I make a ton and take all the extras and freeze them individually then put them into freezer bags. I can take out what I need and pop them into the toaster and they will defrost and warm up. Its great for those busy early mornings getting the kids off to school and much healthier than most the frozen ready made store bought types. The syrup was very good and really made the pancakes a treat.
