Eating at least 3 servings of whole grains like Cheerios® cereal daily may help reduce blood cholesterol. Look for the word "whole" to be sure you get the whole grain.

Whole Grain Total® cereal and dried fruits and nuts stir into a favorite munch that's a good source of iron for healthy cells. From eatbetteramerica.

Start to Finish:1 hr
makes:10 servings (about 3/4 cup each)

4cups Total® Raisin Bran cereal
1/3cup sliced almonds
1bag (8 oz) dried mixed fruit (1 1/2 cups), cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1/4cup packed brown sugar
2tablespoons butter or margarine
2teaspoons ground cinnamon
1teaspoon ground ginger
1.Heat oven to 300°F. In large bowl, place cereal, almonds and fruit; set aside.
2.In 1-quart saucepan, heat brown sugar and butter over low heat, stirring occasionally, until butter is melted. Stir in cinnamon and ginger. Pour over cereal mixture; toss until evenly coated. Spread in ungreased 15x10x1-inch pan.
3.Bake 15 minutes, stirring twice. Spread on waxed paper. Cool about 30 minutes. Store in tightly covered container at room temperature.

Made this for a small group meeting and everyone loved it. I added whole almonds instead of the sliced it was a big hit. Can't wait to make more
