Have some spaghetti with your spaghetti! Cut the carbs and keep the spaghetti by combining the squash with pasta. From eatbetteramerica.

makes:6 servings
1medium spaghetti squash (about 3 lb)
4oz uncooked spaghetti, broken in half
1/4cup chopped fresh parsley
2tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1tablespoon margarine or butter, melted
1tablespoon chopped fresh or 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1/2teaspoon garlic salt
1.Prick squash with fork; place on microwavable paper towel in microwave oven. Microwave on High 8 minutes; turn squash over. Microwave 8 to 11 minutes longer or until tender. Let stand 10 minutes.
2.Meanwhile, cook and drain spaghetti as directed on package; return spaghetti to saucepan.
3.Cut squash lengthwise in half; remove seeds and fibers. Reserve one half for another use. From other half, remove spaghetti-like strands with 2 forks; reserve shell. Add squash and remaining ingredients to spaghetti in saucepan; toss. Return spaghetti mixture to squash shell to serve.

Marinier sause w/.double spag. squash
Hi- I am looking for the Red sause Rachel Ray made to go with the Double Spag sause. This sause had can tomatos, Grilled Eggplant, oven grilled garlic(in the garlic paper)all blended to gether. If anyone has a way for me to get this, let me know as I have tried several ways to get that recipe and failed. Also- I remember that she cut the squash in half poured olive oil on it and cooked it in oven face down-I am not good with this computer. Please help!!

this is a really great recipe and you can change and add other variables:I put squash in microwave it came out perfect,I then made pasta-spaghetti,then I sauted brown crimni mushrooms,red onions,fresh garlic and then a 21 seasoning salute,then topped it with cave-aged gruyere chesse-absolutely delicious.thx chefboyrd
