Depending on the amount of flavor in the tomatoes, 1/8 teaspoon of salt may be added to the recipe for additional flavor.

Fresh vegetables combined with citrus juice and jalapeño chile give this salsa a wonderfully refreshing flavor. From eatbetteramerica.

Start to Finish:1 hr 20 min
makes:24 servings (2 tablespoons each)
4medium tomatoes, seeded, chopped (2 cups)
1medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
1/2cup chopped green bell pepper (1/2 medium)
1/2cup chopped fresh cilantro
2tablespoons lemon juice
1tablespoon lime juice
1large jalapeño chile, seeded, finely chopped (2 tablespoons)
Tortilla chips, as desired
1.In medium nonmetal bowl, mix all ingredients except tortilla chips. Cover; refrigerate 1 to 2 hours to blend flavors.
2.Serve with tortilla chips. Cover and refrigerate any remaining salsa up to 5 days.
High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): No change.

What a great and fresh salsa! I did add the suggested salt. Will try increasing ingredients for canning.

Yummy! Everyone loved this salsa, it was perfect - not salty, not too spicy. I will definetely make this again.
