Blueberry Smoothies (Cooking for 2)

Blueberry Smoothies (Cooking for 2)
Recipe Tip
Don't Cut Calcium
Research shows that eating 3 servings of low-fat calcium-rich dairy foods like yogurt can play an important role in weight loss plans.
Substitution
It's an easy (and yummy) switch to make these smoothies with raspberries instead of blueberries.

SUGAR
I haven't made this recipe, I just wanted to point out that, once again, this is another recipe that may be low in fat, but it's unbelievably high in SUGAR. When something is 'low fat', something else goes in to make it taste good. In this case, if you read the nutritional listing, there are 19 grams of Sugar in one serving of this. One gram of sugar equals 1.5 teas., so there are 28.5 teas. of sugar per serving in this recipe.

great!
This is a great recipe. I used lactaid milk instead because of lactose intolerance and it was a great substitute. I will be trying this recipe with different fruits to see how it turns out.

Soymilk or fat free skim milk
This looks yummy, but can you suggest a way to get around using any type of milk at all?

This is Great
I have been making these for a couple years now. I also mix fruit together. My favorite is Strawberries, banana's and blueberries, sometimes I add frozen pineapple as well. You can also use juice instead of the mike, that's how I do it most of the time.

Review
Just saw this recipe and decided to try it. Unfortunately I had no French vanilla Yoplait on hand (or even blueberry flavor). But I did have strawberry flavor and frozen strawberries. Wow! With this little substitution, it was yummy! Now it is one of my favorite recipes! I will have to get some French vanilla Yoplait and try it with the blueberries (Hubby loves blueberries!)
