    RE: excersise while being disabled

There are videos also with using resistant bands. Even Wii got an active trainer program using those. I still use the ones from physical therapy to stretch. I was in a wheel chair (still use it from time to time) and could only use the bands and getting into the pool. Talk to your physical therapist. There are some great exercises that can be done. I used them for 2 years until I could do them on my own. Hang in there.

    Re: Healthy eating

Try some of the Gluten free pancake mixes. They are yummy with fruit like blueberries, raspberries, and yogurt added. They taste like crepes and can even be made thin. Use unsalted butter to crisp the edges. Yummy alternative.

Check your local co-op. It can be bought by the pound. That way you can try it with out spending a bundle on prepackaged. It is a good way to save anyway. Also try that for spices. We save a lot going that direction. Depending where you live, I only know Blue Earth, Mn and West Subburbs of Il if you need locations.

    RE: Wheat-free Recipes?

There is a gluten-free web site that helps with alternatives. There is also a Gluten free for dummies book that helps alot. My son is gluten free and I don't eat breaad because I have the Lap-band. We choose to do Cheese crisps, french friend onions for a treat, and eat almonds for added crunch.  I am not sure why you don't want wheat but I hope this is helpful. I can look up the flour alternative if you need. I make it ahead so I never remember the recipe off hand. I can look it up though. Hope this helps.
