    RE: just joined and would like help staying motinated!

    Since the end of January of the year - I have been working out daily - with my treadmill or different excersize videos (it is COLD in Mi - too cold to walk outside!).  At first I was out of breath and could not keep up - after just a few weeks - I have noticed a difference in my balance and stamina.  Now I need to comtinue working out and lose the weight - I would like to lose about 20 lbs - I weigh 181 and am 5'8". 


    I am an empty nester - and have alot of changes in my life( no kids at home).  I want to do something just for me - and I hope to be fitter and healthier in 09.

    RE: New Attitude - need buddy to keep motivated

    Since the first of the year - I have been forcing myself to workout in some form EVERY day.  Now that the first month is over - I am looking forward to excersizing - because I feen so much better - attitude and strengthwise.  I hope you have had succes with your new attitude!

    RE: What is the deal with Heart Rate Monitors?

    I am wondering about the accuracy of the models that you use by putting your finger on a small monitor on the face of the watch.  My husband had one of these - and I wonder if anyone has any tips for using this type.  There is no chest srap.
